How does Laser Hair Removal work?

Your hairs grow in 3 different stages, active (antigen), transitional (telegan) and resting (catagen). When the hair is in active (antigen) growth phase there is an appendage attached to the hair follicle that the laser is ultimately destroying. After the first few visits you will notice less hair. You hair will begin to get finer, thinner and lighter. You will notice that the hair we have treated will start to grow back less and less frequently. Towards the end of your sessions your hair will not grow back for weeks.

Will Laser Hair Removal work for me?

Laser Hair Removal works best on light skin and dark coarse hair. As long as the hair has pigment (meaning color) the laser will recognize the hair and will remove it. Laser Hair Removal is not well suited for gray hair, red or white hairs and electrolysis is recommended for treating those colored hairs.

How often do I come in for a Laser Hair Removal treatment?

Depending on the areas treated you will come in every 6-8 weeks apart for the lower half of your body such as full legs, Brazilian bikini and underarms and every 4-6 weeks apart for facial areas such as your upper lip, chin and sideburns. After you have received 6-8 sessions a touch-up package may be needed, and spaced out every 8-12 weeks apart until the hair is completely removed.

How many sessions will I need for permanent hair removal?

Typically you will need 6-8 sessions to have up to 80-90% hair reduction. On larger areas and less coarse hairs more sessions may be required for optimal results.
